A meeting point for those involved in the regional fishing industry.
To show fish market trends national and worldwide, as well as new challenges in which Ensenada is immersed as part of Baja California’s proud economy, are part of the Baja Seafood Expo 2011 objective.
The organizers of this event are part of a board made up of 22 people that represent groups from the fishing economic chain, from its production until it is placed on a prepared dish.

It is a joint effort between producers, the government and stakeholders of an economic sector that includes fishermen, farmers, mariculturists, industrialists, traders, restaurants, suppliers, researchers, financials, environmental authorities and many others.
The challenge of Baja Seafood Expo 2011 is to envolve local producers in the national and international agenda, among the essential topics for their strengthening, health and safety, sustainability and financing.
This Baja Seafood Expo 2011 is an effort for the Board to show the public the fish production of Ensenada, Baja California and the Northwest region of Mexico, at the same time producers know by first hand, the new trends and how new rules are a challenge to improve.
These challenges also include an increasingly demanding national market, which has proven Baja California’s seafood and looks out for their quality, whether they are caught or fat and grown in certified waters.
Over for days, the assistants that part of the fishery production chain, will be able to participate in workshops, roundtables and conferences, in which they will learn about the new trends, rules and how to apply them.
But it will also let visitors to acknowledge, ask, taste, and most importantly, to be proud of this activity, our city’s origin and recognized throughout the world.
